Letter: Thanks to community for helping with bottle drive (Printed Jan. 18, 2008)
Editor:
The Kennebunk High School Hockey Boosters would like to thank the many hardworking volunteers and the community for their tremendous support of our 2008 bottle drive, which raised more than $2,200 for the team.
In particular, we would like to thank Jim’s Service Center in Kennebunk for the ongoing use of their facility, and Coastal Redemption Center for their continued support in taking our recyclables. Kudos also go out to the Kennebunk Redemption Center for allowing the team to collect bottles at their facility.
We are also grateful to the many area businesses for donations and other forms of assistance, including Dunkin Donuts, Garden Street Market, Shields Meats, The Seafood Center, Wiewel Construction, Bradbury’s Market, Hutchco Landscaping and Stop & Shop. Your support is greatly appreciated. And a final thank you to the entire Kennebunk community for thinking of the Boosters during your holiday festivities and saving those empties for us!
Bottles and cans may still be redeemed at Coastal Redemption Center. Take your tally and ask that it be logged in to benefit the Kennebunk Hockey Boosters.
