Letter: Area Democratic Caucus exceeded expectations (Printed Feb. 15, 2008)
Editor:
The joint Kennebunk-Kennebunkport Democratic Caucus held Sunday exceeded our wildest expectations not just in the incredible number of participants who braved the cold and stood in long lines, but also in the degree of enthusiasm of the participants! The face of this crowd included expectant mothers, retirees, young people and people from every walk of life. All local, state, and national candidates offer wonderful credentials and bring a great deal of hope and inspiration to the table. We want to thank all the people who made this caucus possible, especially the numerous volunteers, the MSAD 71 School District for providing the facility, and the voters who participated. You have shown what democracy is all about and made us proud to be members of this community.
