Letter: Electoral College system is unfair and confusing (Printed Feb. 15, 2008)
Editor:
The Electoral College system of assigning delegates is proving once again to be unfair and confusing. Brainstorming time is here, before we ever have to endure another Super Tuesday of false hopes and results. The only reference book I know of on this subject was written some time ago by Neal Peirce, a writer for the Washington Post Group, on the advisability of the abolition of the Electoral College. His proposal was almost entirely ignored and absolutely not implemented. It is an idea whose time has come. Google would probably lead us to the research we need. Legislators, please take note!
