Patrick Gregorich
39
Address: 5 Finnegan Way, Kennebunk, ME 04043
Occupation: Vice President, Hissong Development Corporation; As vice president, I am responsible for evaluating land and corporate acquisitions, budgeting and scheduling real estate development projects, and managing all engineering and architectural design requirements and state/municipal entitlements. I have a solid track record of completing projects on time and on budget. I also serve in a volunteer capacity on the Program Advisory Committee at York County Community College, where I assist the department chairman in developing and refining the curriculum for its CAD/Drafting degree program.
Marital Status: Married, seven years
Spouse’s Name: Cheryl
Children: None yet
Education completed: BS Business Management
Name and location of school or university last attended: Daniel Webster College, Nashua, N.H.
Past political experience:
I have never served in a selectman capacity, nor run for selectman or any other public service role in the town. I am not affiliated with any special interest groups, which I believe will help me remain objective and be an independent voice for all residents in Kennebunk.
Top three issues: (in order of priority)
1. Broaden the tax base by enticing new businesses to locate in Kennebunk, which helps us to maintain the outstanding services we already enjoy, the quality of life and keeps taxes as low as possible.
2. Ensure open communications with our schools and other municipal districts (water, sewer, electric) for shared services and working cooperatively with other municipalities as necessary
3. Help protect our natural resources, create/obtain rights of passage for open areas for hikers, walkers, cross country skiers, etc, while having expanded areas for dog owners to enjoy the area.
In your own words, why are you seeking elected office?
Kennebunk is a wonderful community with so much to offer its residents. I can think of no better way to give back to the community than through serving as a selectman. I believe I bring a solid set of management skills and business experience in serving the community. Should I be elected, I pledge to remain objective, to listen to and respect the opinions of individual citizens, and provide a balanced viewpoint on all issues.
