As Director of the Kennebunk Free Library I want to thank our patrons and residents for such overwhelming support of our library during our recent fundraising season.

The library’s annual appeal is our single biggest fundraiser. This yearly endeavor is key to providing a full range of library services. This year, we raised $48,012 which met and exceeded our fundraising goal.

The 11th edition Road Race has grown in popularity since it’s inception. In addition to inviting the community to our lawn for a wonderful evening out with a concert, we registered a record 314 runners. Thank you to our many sponsors and volunteers who made our second largest fundraiser of the year an overwhelming success.

We recognize that many organizations ask for community support and that financial times seem to be getting tougher. On behalf of all of the employees and trustees of the Kennebunk Free Library we offer our sincerest thanks for your support during these crucial fundraisers and throughout the year.

As a result we are able to provide you with a vibrant facility with the high quality and personal service we have been proud of for the past 100 years.
