On Saturday, Aug. 2, starting at the West Kennebunk United Methodist Church at 8 am., there will be a three-mile “Fun Run and Walk,” in conjunction with the West Kennebunk Village Family Fun Day. You can register from 7 to 7:50 a.m. The cost is $5 ages 16 and up, $2, ages 15 and down.

All of all proceeds will be donated to the Kennebunk General Fuel Fund. This benefits Kennebunk, Kennebunkport and Arundel.

We are asking for your support. We are all aware of the high cost of fuel oil and gas. This is putting a tremendous and for some, a seemingly insurmountable strain on our elderly and those in most need.

The local support for the fundraiser coming from local business, churches and individuals have been more then over the top. But we still need your help and there is still time to donate or participate in the fundraiser. If you are a business or individual and wish to donate and can’t make the run you can send a check made out to the Town of Kennebunk General Fuel Assistance Program and you can mail that to the United Methodist Church, West Kennebunk , PO Box 532, 04094.

Let us all come together as a community and support each other at this most special event. Looking forward to seeing you there.
