Letter: Lawn signs: ‘I’m Mad. Really Mad!’ (Oct. 24, 2008)
Editor:
Seventeen days until the election and my two McCain-Palin signs have been stolen from my yard. I’m mad but not surprised. Remember the Bush sign theft and destruction in 2004? What is it about Democrats that they can’t brook an opposing view?
I checked my neighborhood to see if it was just destructive elements (prior to writing this). The Obama signs are still there.
It doesn’t take Columbo to figure out who took mine. There is a lot of give and take in an election period, but theft is theft. And this from the party that nominated the Messiah who will bring change to the nation. If this is change, Messiah, you can keep it.
If you get in I pity any American who has the brass ones to question your policy, to ask a tough question. The response won’t be just taking a road sign; it may be measures to shut the person up, permanently. Anyone familiar with the Fairness Doctrine knows what can happen if Pelosi and Reid and the Messiah determine they want no dissent.
The prospect is frightening. Democrats say they’ll fight for the middle class, the average guy. What a way to show it. It is obvious they will do everything possible to get the Messiah to the White House, from potential voter fraud to stealing small road signs. Where will they stop?
I’m mad, really mad. Did the Messiah, through his campaign, send those cretins to my property last night as a warning not to threaten his reign? Until someone can prove otherwise, that’s what happened.
Those people who want a president with a thuggish agenda, they sure do have their man.
