A note about the interview article that ran last week about me [Weekly Interview, page 12]. The line in that that read “Tachibana’s father always discouraged her from art” should read more along the lines of “Tachibana’s father discouraged her from pursuing a career in art.”

My father, Patrick DeSantis always encouraged creativity in me, from childhood through adulthood. He has been a total inspiration to me as an artist and creative person in general.

Perhaps that is why he frowned so hard when his daughter chose to follow the same hard road of an artist that he had…because it was his influence that brought me to where I am!
