Letter: 70th year off to a good start (June 19, 2009)
As part of our 70th anniversary celebration, Seashore Trolley Museum, located at 195 Log Cabin Road in Kennebunkport, held its new version of “Community Appreciation Weekend” during the Memorial Day holiday. This is to thank the residents and businesses of Biddeford, Saco, Arundel, Kennebunk and Kennebunkport for their support.
We wish to thank all those that attended. After so many years in abeyance, we are extremely gratified by a turn-out of residents, in not the greatest of weather. We were happy to acknowledge the support you have given us over the past 70 years and know that support will continue as long as we continue to earn it.
We wish to acknowledge businesses for their support and donations which made this weekend so successful.
The raffle tickets were won happily by Sara Nelson and Susan Thelia, both from the Kennebunkport area.
Please keep June 21 free on your calendar for the museum’s next event. We celebrate Father’s Day by welcoming all escorted fathers with free admission. Bring dad for lots of fun!
