[Regarding the letter, “Parachute jump was attempt to obscure son’s legacy,” June 26]

Enough is enough.

Why do a few attempt to obscure the good the Bush family has done for community, country and other people? Instead of ridiculous innuendo that President George H. W. Bush “practiced” by being shot down defending his country and its ideals, we should be thanking him for his military and political service!

Whom of us, without fact, would obscure the military service of President George W. Bush? He should be thanked for his military service, as many others have served.

Yes, President George W. Bush had inaccurate information, but so did our allies. President George W. Bush acted to defend and protect our nation with the information with which he was presented. To say President George H.W. Bush has a devil-may-care attitude obscures all the good the Bush family does for our community.

All but a few look forward to and welcome the Bush family’s summer residency in our community.
