Letter: Quibbling over feet (Printed April 30, 2010)

To the editor:

Let’s do a little math. There are 5,280 feet in a mile, Goose Rocks Beach is about two miles long, approximately 10,500 feet.

There are about 25 plaintiffs in the lawsuit against the town, maybe five of those people don’t want anyone on “their” beach. The average frontage is about 100 feet, that’s 500 feet – still with me? That only leaves 10,000 feet of beach to use.

Oh, my gosh - where will we go? Now that’s worth spending $1 million.
