I cannot recall the last time I read a more intelligent, sensible and sane letter about an utterly ridiculous subject than Mr. Van Veen’s regarding the Goose Rocks Beach “fiasco” lawsuits (“Much ado about nothing,” April 23, page 8).

He most accurately identifies it as “hysterical nonsense, insanity and lunacy.”

He further states that regardless of how the courts do rule, nothing will change. How true that is. Meanwhile, the taxpayers in Kennebunkport will have a higher tax rate due to legal fees related to the beach case. This does not seem fair.
