About a couple of months ago I heard a gunshot near our home and saw a beautiful fox running from the woods toward the Whitten Hill Road. I came to find out it was turkey hunting season. The anxiety this caused me was profound.

It reminded me of the awful feelings I get during the fall hunting season when I heard shots nearby and saw vehicles parked along Guinea Road.

Our land is posted.

I hope none of the wonderful wildlife in our backyard are disturbed, injured or killed. There are many other areas where hunting is permitted.
