The votes are in and Diana Dubea of Kennebunk is the winner of the Kennebunk Post 2012 Great Person Award.

Deb Marathon nominated Dubea for her work with the residents at Huntington Common.

Dubea will be featured in a story next week.

“I do some volunteering,” Dubea said of her involvement with Huntington Common. “It’s a great place. Your eyes really are open when you do something like that.”

Dubea was delighted and surprised when informed of the voting results.

“Oh my goodness, thank you, what a shock,” Dubea said. Dubea said she knew she had been nominated and said she was pleased with the nomination alone.

She said to be voted Great Person is a “very nice honor.”
